Make An Impact...Support Our 2011 Holiday Initiative

Greetings and Happy Holidays!

During this time of year we are all reminded of our many blessings that we are thankful for. iMP²ACT Foundation is extremely grateful for a great 2011 and everyone’s support this year so we want to end the year being a blessing to families who are without the simple things this season.

For this holiday season iMP²ACT Foundation will be providing gifts for The Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Club Angel Tree Program and we are asking our network of friends, business professionals and committed supporters for assistance in providing toys for children this year.  Times have been difficult for everyone these past few years but I am hopeful that we can all find a way to give even in own overwhelming circumstances. Thank you in advance for your commitment to making an impact on the many families in Maryland who are in need.

I AM LOTUS FLYY!

For weeks I had been anticipating Lotus Flyy, Inc's 1st Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Happy Hour and on Tuesday, October 25th the day had finally arrived. Although it was late October it felt more like April and as you know when you mix a beautiful sunshine, wonderful warm breezes, and a great cause you know you're in for a fabulous evening. This event was no exception.

Founder Larissa Walters greeted, embraced, and showed each and every person to walk through those doors of the Reserve Restaurant in Baltimore to support her inaugural event the kind reception that only a gracious and blessed host could. This Breast Cancer Awareness event was especially meaningful for Larissa because she is the daughter of Brenda Carol Walters who passed away on March 24th, 2010 after a nine year battle with breast cancer. And in an effort to honor her mother's memory and continue her legacy, her family started an Endowment at her Alma Mater Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester NY.  

This was indeed a well-planned and thought out event with the perfect ambiance, a great crowd of friends, family, and supporters, food and drink specials, wonderful raffle prizes (that were all donated), beautiful cupcakes, and a professional artist painting (painting was beautiful and auctioned off) throughout the evening. But with all of that being said the best part of the night was looking around the restaurant and seeing there wasn't an empty seat, not a space unfilled, not a smile missing and not an untouched heart. This was indeed a moment for Larissa Walters and her family to be proud of. A moment I am certain Brenda is proud of.
